  5. USE OF ENCYCLOPEDIA OF BIBLE DIFFICULTIES (EBD) IN SALEABLE 
  6. PRODUCTS

  8. Use of the Encyclopedia of Bible Difficulties in saleable 
  9. products is governed by the fair use doctrine of the Copyright 
  10. Law.  Any use extending beyond fair use requires permission from 
  11. the publisher.  We recommend obtaining permission for any quotes 
  12. exceeding 500 words in saleable products.

  14. USE OF EBD IN NON-SALEABLE MATERIALS

  16. When quotations from the EBD are used in non-saleable media such 
  17. as class materials, a complete copyright notice is not required, 
  18. but the words Encyclopedia of Bible Difficulties must appear at the end of each 
  19. quotation.

  21. COMPUTER USE OF THE ELECTRONIC TEXT

  23. You may print or copy portions of the EBD to a file or word 
  24. processing program as long as the use of the material extracted 
  25. is less than 50% of the total work in which the EBD is being 
  26. used. You may distribute printouts at no charge to Sunday School 
  27. classes, Bible Study groups, or other small study groups 
  28. providing the quote material does not amount to more than several 
  29. questions and answers.
